Autumn announces itself. Some changes don't.
They arrive the way a flame becomes an ember — so slowly you never catch the exact moment it happened, only that the light has changed.
This circle exists for that second kind of change: the one that leaves you without words, without a clear direction. Not to resolve it — but to stay close enough to understand what it's asking of you.
YOU MAY BE HERE BECAUSE
You are moving through a change in place, work, relationship, or identity.
Something is ending, even if you have not fully let it go.
You sense that a new direction is emerging, but cannot see it clearly yet.
You are carrying uncertainty, grief, or hope that you have not had space to listen to.
You know that something needs to change, but do not want to force an answer.
Or perhaps your life looks much the same from the outside, while something inside you is quietly changing form.

THE PRACTICE: STAYING IN RELATIONSHIP
Change invites us to stay in relationship with it — to remain open, to stay with the question one moment longer, and let what's moving within us actually touch us. That extra moment matters.
This is the practice of the Circle: to listen, remain open, and let ourselves be changed — together, held by others meeting their own uncertainty. Staying does not always mean remaining where we are; sometimes it's what allows us to leave, speak, begin again, or let an old identity end.
What is ready to fall?
What has ripened enough to be gathered?
What remains when an old world is gone?
RETURNING TO THE EARTH
We will come closer to the Earth as Mother: take refuge in her rhythms, listen to her counsel, and remember that we belong to something larger than any single form our lives may take.
The Earth offers refuge not because she prevents change, but because she teaches us how to belong to it.
In the north, leaves will be falling. Here in Colombia, coffee and cacao will be ripening, ready to be gathered.
Some things are ready to return to the ground. Others have been quietly maturing through everything we have lived.
Across the season, we will accompany what is ending without rushing it away. We will give thanks for what can no longer remain, listen for what it leaves with us, and receive what has ripened through the experience.
BEFORE THE CIRCLE BEGINS
Living Fire — September 22, the equinox
We'll light the season's first fire together in Living Fire — a monthly gathering open to anyone who feels the season's pull. It's not one of the six Circle sessions, and you don't need to attend it to join. No commitment beyond showing up; contribute whatever feels right.
THE FIRE AT THE CENTER
A fire burns throughout the autumn — the fire of the season. We tend it together in every gathering of the Circle: I keep it lit here in Colombia for the two hours we're together, the light that calls us in and stays beside us as we listen. If you wish, light a candle wherever you are, and let the fire reach both sides of the screen.
Around it, we will gather through silence, breath, guided visualization, compassionate listening, honest conversation, and practices shaped by ancestral ways of listening to the Earth and to the movement of time.
There is nothing to perform here, and no experience that must become a lesson before it is ready.
We listen. We allow ourselves to be witnessed. We offer that same presence to others.

WHO HOLDS THE SPACE
I'm Andrés.
My first uprooting came from following a dream: leaving everything behind to deepen my relationship with cacao on the shores of Lake Atitlán, Guatemala. The second was different — five years later, life brought me back to Colombia, as someone I had not set out to become.

Most recently, an earthquake shook the ground beneath my home in Pereira. These experiences do not make me an expert in anything. But they are the ground from which I hold this circle. I am inside this question too.
